Clinton visits Bari Imam shrine
ISLAMABAD: US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton visited shrine of saint Bari Imam Thursday morning.
Interior Minister Rehman Malik accompanied Clinton.
On arrival, children presented the US state secretary bouquet. She later laid floral wreath on the saint’s grave and distributed food among devotees.
Clinton was briefed on Bari Imam’s life and contributions for the spread of Islam in the region. The briefing also covered the shrine’s history and the construction of Bari Imam Complex.
The US state secretary said on the occasion that she loved Pakistani culture and civilization. She said shrine of Bari Imam was worth-visiting place. app
